Norby Lopez Granda
Naturalist Guide & Birding Expert

Norby was born and raised in Quito — Ecuador’s best-preserved colonial center — making him a lifelong expert on the city he calls home. As a biologist, birder, and naturalist guide with over 35 years of experience across Ecuador, the Galápagos, and beyond, his deep knowledge of tropical forest ecology and respect for Indigenous cultures have made him one of the most sought-after guides in the Neotropics.
Norby is a cofounder of the Napo Wildlife Center in the Ecuadorian Amazon, built in partnership with — and still co-owned by — the Kichwa Añangu Community. His work spans conservation, nature tourism policy (including a role with Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism), and contributions to BBC nature documentaries. Lodges he’s helped develop have been recognized among National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World.
Susana Muñoz Ditsch
Naturalist & Cultural Heritage Guide

Susy hails from Cuenca — Ecuador’s vibrant cultural and artistic hub — and spent her childhood traveling the country, from the Andean highlands to the Amazon jungle. Those early experiences in Amazonian communities, paired with an unexpected passion for chocolate production, first sparked her love of tourism.
Fluent in English, German, and Spanish, Susy has spent more than 30 years building extraordinary, personalized cultural and natural history experiences. Her knowledge spans birdwatching, orchids, Indigenous traditions, archaeology, and beyond. She holds both a National Tourism license and a Naturalist Guide license — credentials that let her lead journeys as fluent in culture as they are in nature.
Join us on a transformative adventure, where remarkable destinations, authentic encounters, and sustainable practices intertwine to create memories that will last a lifetime.
